Before founding Baxter IP patent attorneys in 2007, Chris was an in-house patent attorney at ResMed, one of Australia's largest medical devices manufacturers. Chris has also worked at two large Australian patent and trade mark attorney firms.
Chris has extensive experience in international intellectual property law and regularly presents to firms overseas on comparative patent law, particularly as it relates to software. In 2011, Chris presented to firms in the United States and China and in 2010, to firms in Japan and Korea. Having been interviewed on the subject of international IP in the news, at conferences, business magazines and recently live on the Apple v. Samsung patent wars on CNBC, Chris stays abreast of developments in each country by attending international IP conferences and by staying in close contact with his network of international associates.
Chris is also a Director of Baxter IP Commercialisation Advisers, a full service intellectual property commercialisation consultancy, and a Director of Biometic, a biotechnology startup that manufactures bioabsorbable scaffolds for cell culture. |
